Children & Youth

Children are an inheritance, a blessing from the Lord!

Children of all ages are encouraged to participate fully in the life of our church. Our children are encouraged and welcomed to serve in the total ministry of the church as they participate in worship, discipleship, fellowship, hospitality, mercy, and stewardship.

The Children’s Class (for all younger school-aged children), is a study of the Bible, Catechism, and Hymns for the Service of Worship. A Nursery is also available.

For our children, there is a Sunday School class during our at 9:45 AM Christian Education hour. The younger children read a Bible story, review Catechisms, & sing hymns as well as work on a craft & play.  The older children meet with the Pastor to review Catechisms & read through Dr. R.C. Sproul’s book Now That’s a Good Question!

We encourage parents and children to worship together in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. Since our prayer is that our children will know God, and then will love and worship Him forever, it is important that we train them to worship. We know that corporate worship can be a challenge for families with young children. They are sometimes noisy, making it difficult for others including parents to worship. We provide a nursery for babies and children as they are making this transition and learning to worship the Lord. We also don’t mind a bit of noise in church, for it is the sound of God’s children learning to do what they will do for eternity – glorify and enjoy Him!

Our nursery is safely located in our Education Building. Trained and screened volunteers keep our well-maintained nursery during Sunday School, Worship, and for many of our special events. We offer a secure, clean and self-contained nursery. Our theme is to read, sing, pray and play with the little ones!

Cat Kids meets prior to our Wednesday Evening Bible Study at 6:45 PM to share with one of our elders & his wife their progress in learning the Westminster Shorter Catechism memory work.
