Dear Church Family,
How many Presbyterians does it take to change a lightbulb?
Well, this week it took three Presbyterians a little over three hours to change out light bulbs in our church facility. No joke! There are many light fixtures and various sorts of bulbs.
One could also ask, how many Presbyterians does it take to keep our building clean and our facility in tip-top shape for our church family’s use?
Or, how many Presbyterians does it take to count our offerings, pay our expenses, and manage our church’s financial assets?
It takes two handfuls of people with their gracious donation of time and a sacrificial love for the church to keep our church in good order.
These are the tasks you often don’t see done but you do see the benefits of their accomplishment.
There are those who do tasks we often see – we pass by the nursery and see the day’s volunteers, our sound tech for worship is visible, ushers walk the aisle, and so on.
Take an opportunity to say thanks to those who serve – write a note, make a call, or mention it to them face-to-face next time you see them.
Our church is blessed – thank you to all who serve!
