The Handbell Choir has resumed practice and is preparing to play Sunday, March 9th at the morning worship service. We would also like to welcome our newest handbell ringer, Mark Vestal.
The choir is hard at work preparing the Easter Cantata “Man of Sorrows, King of Glory”. It will be presented on Easter Sunday at the morning worship service. Portions of the cantata will also be used during the Maundy Thursday Communion Service.
Also, flowers will be needed again for the Flowering of the Cross at the Easter Sunrise Service. If you have any flowers blooming during the Easter weekend, you are asked to please bring some for this service.
Finally, I would like to invite you to a Good Friday Cantata entitled “Song of Shadows”. This cantata will be presented Friday, March 21 at 7 pm at Macedonia Lutheran Church. I will be singing with the choir during this cantata as the tenor soloist. It is a very moving musical that reminds us of the events that Christ endured as he was led to the Cross to pay the price for our salvation.
